Flossmoor School District 161 is proud to announce the members of its 2011-2012 District Green Committee. Laura Weaver will continue to represent Heather Hill School. Julianne Day and Ashley West are new committee members this year, and will represent Flossmoor Hills Elementary. Traci Coon and Haley Marti join the team from Serena Hills. Western Avenue is represented by Joan Mahler and Ashley Wehrmann. Finally, Bridget Gannon, Kara Alexander, Karen Roorda, and Amy Lauer will represent Parker Junior High on the District Green Team.

The committee meets four times a year to discuss green initiatives such as recycling programs and paper drives, as well as helping our students become more involved with preserving the environment. Bruce Nieminski, Assistant Principal of Western Avenue, and Pam Majewski at District Office also serve on the District Green Committee.
