Flossmoor Elementary School District 161 is proud to announce that its faculty, staff, parents, and students are working together to promote good character in the schools and the community. District 161 implements the CHARACTER COUNTS! initiative to promote good citizenship.
District 161 is located in the heart of Flossmoor, a village that enjoys a distinguished reputation as a picturesque, racially and religiously diverse community. CHARACTER COUNTS! is a natural complement to this fine community, a place called home by many professionals who are proud of their excellent school district and its students' achievement. CHARACTER COUNTS! provides a path for the entire community to promote citizenship in all aspects of life in the District 161 community.
