The Student Council works in cooperation with the faculty and administration of the school to make decisions concerning school activities and practices. Student representatives are elected from each homeroom and must attend meetings throughout the school year. Elected officers represent all grade levels.
Some examples of Student Council activities:
Fundraising on behalf of two or more selected charitable organizations.
Public relations with other organizations at our school in order to
mobilize their efforts.
Two to three Student Council sponsored grade level dances that include a
DJ, pizza, soda, games, and open gym.
Sell HolidayGrams before winter break to raise money for the 8th Grade
class gift.
Sell Valentines Candygrams to raise money for the 8th Grade class gift.
Select approved Spirit Week theme days.
Raise funds throughout the year to dedicate a class gift on behalf of the
8th Grade graduating class.
Sponsor two grade level talent shows at the end of the year to showcase
Parker Junior High student talent.
