A big thank-you to our Parker Junior High staff and chaperones who helped make this experience memorable for our students. Your time, support, and dedication help bring learning to life! Happy Friday, Parker Junior High!

Come out and support our Parker Junior High Falcons this season. Bring the family, cheer on our athletes and show them some Flossmoor School District 161 support from the stands.
Here’s the season schedule so you can mark your calendar. We hope to see you at a game!
Please remember!
SSJHSA conference rule: ALL students must be accompanied by their parent in order to attend any home games. Parents must stay with their student for the duration of the game. If the parent leaves the game, so does the student.

Charge large items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools
outside when possible. Do not block exits when charging. These
batteries store more energy, and fires can grow quickly if they
fail. For more info: fpw.org.

Today, we’re celebrating the custodians who help make Flossmoor School District 161 a place where students and staff can learn, work and feel at home.
So much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but their work makes a difference every single day. From caring for our buildings to helping keep our schools clean, safe and welcoming, our custodians are an important part of our school community.
Thank you to our Flossmoor School District 161 custodial teams for all you do. Type a note of thanks to our amazing custodial staff in the comments below!

Preventing bullying starts with the way we treat one another every day.
Sometimes it’s as simple as noticing who is sitting alone. Inviting someone to join your group. Speaking up when something doesn’t feel right. Getting an adult when someone needs help.
Small choices can make a big difference.
In Flossmoor School District 161, we want everyone to know: You belong here.
We are also encouraging families to talk about bullying and kindness at home. Ask your child what they would do if they saw someone being left out, teased, or treated unfairly. Talk about when to speak up, when to get help and how they can be part of making sure others feel welcome.
Let’s make room for each other SD 161!

Take a peek at the Spirit Week lineup and get ready to ROCK YOUR SCHOOL SPIRIT!

When students come to school regularly, they have more opportunities to learn, ask questions, make connections, build friendships, participate in activities and be part of all the little moments that make school special.
And the numbers matter, too. Missing just 10% of the school year, about 18 days, is considered chronic absenteeism. Research shows that students who miss school regularly are more likely to experience academic challenges and fall behind.
We know that life happens. Kids get sick. Families face challenges. Sometimes an absence just can’t be avoided.
But when your child is healthy and able to be at school, please help them get there. Those days add up. And so do the opportunities they would otherwise miss.
Every day. Every connection. Every opportunity to learn.
It all matters.
ALL IN. EVERY DAY.
