Operation Snowflake is scheduled for March 2nd and addresses essential issues early teens face. Students who attend learn to feel good about themselves and make positive choices. The energy was ELECTRIC last night during the boys basketball game! The team would like to thank the fans in the house that cheered them on to victory.


Congratulations to the Boys Basketball Sectional Champions, PARKER JUNIOR HIGH! With a final score of 48-43 in a hard fought game that went into overtime.
Parker Junior High players thank Head Coach Erlandson and Assistant Coach Green. Players and fans would also like to thank the Lady Falcon cheerleads for the encouragement and spirit. Finally, thank you to our opponents, the James Hart Panthers for a fantastic game.

Did you know Mr. Wright, our 6th-grade Math teacher and boys' Basketball Coach, was recently honored with the School District 161 Those Who Excel Award? He earned this recognition for his positive outlook on education and solution-oriented mentality. At the boys' basketball game last night, we also celebrated the outstanding efforts of the 8th graders on the court throughout the season.

The school day will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 1:30 p.m. Teachers will share coursework and Zoom meeting links through the Canvas Learning Management System. Students in early childhood and kindergarten previously brought home packets and materials to complete.
If you have any questions regarding the schedule for the day, please contact your child’s teacher or building principal.
We anticipate returning to in-person learning on Wednesday, January 17.

District 161 is hosting several Parent University Sessions over the next few weeks. Paula Davis, founder of the Stress and Resilience Institute, will present information for parents/guardians on topics such as building stress awareness and understanding burnout, maintaining strong connections, leveraging mental strength in parenting, and building parental efficacy and hope. Thank you to Flossmoor Community Church for sharing your space so our choirs could perform for the students and teachers of FCC Weekday Preschool. The preschool students were the PERFECT audience and we loved to see their little toes tapping and hands clapping to the music.


The music continued last night at Parker Junior High during the orchestra concert. Thank you to Mr. Diller and his students for the spectacular and goosebump inducing performance!
