Class Assignment Pick-Up is August 13-14, but there’s one thing you need before the big reveal—registration! Only registered students can pick up their assignments and find out who’s in their class.

On Saturday and Sunday, August 2nd and August 3rd 2025, weather permitting, Flossmoor School District 161 will be applying an herbicide and a fertilizer to the field areas at Serena Hills, Flossmoor Hills, and Parker Junior High. The products that will be used for this application are The Andersons Turf Products Fertilizer with Barricade Herbicide, and Trimec 992 Broadleaf Herbicide. These products comprise a selective broadleaf herbicide and a lawn fertilizer that will be used to control weeds/dandelions in these areas, and will also fertilize all district lawns.

Reminder: There will be no school on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day. As we honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful holiday. We invite you to join members of the Parker Junior High band at the Veterans Memorial, located at 18161 Morris Avenue in Homewood, for a ceremony honoring our fallen heroes. The ceremony will begin at 10:15 a.m.

Roan rolled up to school in style this morning courtesy of his new best buddies at the Flossmoor Fire Department. With sirens blaring (just a little) and smiles all around, Roan climbed out of the big red truck grinning from ear to ear. Talk about a legendary ride to school that he won’t forget anytime soon! Thank you to the Flossmoor Fire Department for offering this opportunity as part of the Flossmoor Hills PTO fundraiser.
