Congratulations to our 8th grade boys volleyball team on their win against James Hart tonight! Our 8th grade team won in 2 games with scores of 26-24;25-22. Our 7th grade team fought hard but lost the match against James Hart in 3 games. The team won their first match and lost the last 2 games.

All Flossmoor District 161 buildings will be closed on Thursday, February 17, 2022, due to inclement weather and bus transportation issues.
Students will participate in their learning activities from home. The school day will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 1:30 p.m. Teachers will share coursework and meeting links through Canvas. Students in early childhood and kindergarten previously brought home packets and materials to complete.
If you have any questions regarding the schedule for the day, please contact your child’s teacher or building principal.
There is no school on Friday, February 18, because of a pre-scheduled Institute Day.
Girls volleyball continues to have a great season. The 8th grade team won Monday night against Crete in 2 games 25-8;25-15. The 7th grade girls lost their match in 2 games 25-20; 26-24.
Our 7th and 8th grade girls won both games against Obama tonight. 7th grade scores were 25-15 and 25-9. 8th grade scores were 25-16 and 25-11. Way to go Lady Falcons!

The 8th grade team won last night against Memorial taking their match in 3 games. The boys lost the first game 17-25 but came back to win the next two games 25-17;25-19. Way to SOAR Falcons!
Flossmoor School District 161 is hosting a COVID vaccination clinic from 3 to 7 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, February 15, at Normandy Villa, 41 E. Elmwood, Dr. in Chicago Heights. The clinic is open to all District 161 and District 153 families and staff, and the first 30 people to arrive will get a $100 gift card!
Vaccines are safe, effective and free for all regardless of insurance and immigration status. First, second, boosters and pediatric doses are available. No appointment necessary.
A parent must be present for all children 5 to 17 years old.

SECTIONAL CHAMPIONS!!! Our 8th grade boys basketball team is going to STATE!!! There was no doubt our boys wanted to win tonight. They dominated the court against Kankakee winning 44-29! Congratulations Coach Grelecki, Coach Wright and Falcons!
Girls volleyball had another great match today! Our 7th grade girls volleyed but lost their match against Brookwood. The 8th grade team dominated winning their match in 2 games! Congratulations lady Falcons!
REGIONAL CHAMPIONS!! Congratulations to our 8th grade boys basketball team on their win tonight over James Hart! The boys played hard throughout the entire game were able to dominate the last quarter. Our team came from behind and won with a score of 47-43. Congratulations Falcons!!!
