
Tomorrow (3/21) is World Down Syndrome Day! To celebrate and advocate please wear crazy, mismatched, or your most colorful socks to stand with our students and everyone with Down Syndrome. Below is a bit of information on the "lots of socks" campaign.

Students love buying record the announcement passes from the Den Depot with their wolf pack tickets. These two first graders will be the guest announcers for Friday's announcements with Mrs. Pasqua.

First graders are working hard on their decoding skills to improve their reading.


3rd grade STEAM class is learning about Rube Goldberg and his elaborate ways to do simple things. They were working to build elaborate leprechaun traps.

All Flossmoor School District 161 buildings will be closed on Friday, March 3, 2023, due to inclement weather and the anticipated bus transportation issues. Students will participate in their learning activities from home. Tomorrow is a scheduled School Improvement Day in the afternoon, so there is an early dismissal for students.
As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, March 6, 2023, in observance of Casimir Pulaski Day. If you have any questions regarding the schedule for the day, please contact your child’s teacher or building principal for assistance.

Julie Lythcott-Haims is the New York Times bestselling author of How to Raise an Adult and Real American. She holds a BA from Stanford, a JD from Harvard Law School, and an MFA from California College of the Arts. Yesterday we kicked off celebrating Black History Month with an amazing presentation from out PTO. This year we are focusing on learning about HBCUs (Historically Black College and Universities) and were fortunate to hear from the AKA sorority featuring our own Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Harrison, the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and the Chicago State marching band!




Beginning our identity unit from Facing History in 5th grade and talking about names.





What a wonderful day of service with the Jack and Jill Monarch Cities Chapter. We are thankful for the donations as hundreds of hygiene kits were assembled for our local PADS shelter. Participants also learned about the value of our communities from the guest panel.
