Did you know the repetitive nature of knitting has meditative qualities, leading to a state of mindfulness and helping individuals manage stress and anxiety? The cost is $5 for supplies and is limited to 15 students. The club will meet after school on Mondays, with the first meeting on Monday, November 27. On World Kindness Day we would like to recognize some of our Parker Junior High Students who were caught being kind! These students are part of a local Girl Scout Troop and they spent their time making cards and canvases for Veterans. These gifts will be sent to the Illinois Veterans' Home, Manteno as part of the Village of Flossmoor Community Relations Commission holiday project.

Thank you to the students from Parker Junior High for volunteering your help during the annual Pumpkin Smash event. šŸŽƒWith your help we diverted 2.5 tons of pumpkin waste from landfills. šŸŽƒWe hosted 276 people at the event playing tic-tac-toe with pumpkins, dropping pumpkins from a bucket truck, and smashing pumpkins with a mallet. šŸŽƒ 60 volunteers helped the event run efficiently.
